Book Ideas + Inspo

Image
Below is a sketched out vison for my book. It would be more of a 3D Diorama of an Animals Rights Protest. I plan on using a shallow box. I want to paint the base to represent a street and a side walk. I plan on adding trees and other outdoor elements. Each photo will be help up by a stick. Since only 12 photos are needed, to fill the rest of the space to seem more like a crowded protest, I will add protest signs.

Book Ideas

Idea #1: My first idea is to make a 3D model of a protest for animal rights. In theory, I would have a base that can hold up sticks that are attached to poster/signs however the posters/signs will be my photos. Idea #2: My second idea is to have all my pictures chained together in a triangle shape to mimic the "Food Chain".

Albert Watson

I'm choosing the photographer, Albert Watson, as my photographer to research. Because we recently talked about the use of light, I was really drawn to his use of light in the 2 photos below and in all of his work. The first photo caught my eye because it carries so many contrast within it. I love the way the lighting complements the model's skin and the use of pop of color. The second piece of work by Watson stands close to me because I'm a huge fan of B.B. King and I'm also from Memphis, TN where B.B. King performed and lived. This photo really captures King's true performance essence that you get when you're watching him in person.
